a synthesis exercise

i made this piece for the synthesized source material assignment in barry schrader's sound + silence ii class during my undergrad. this piece is actually one with which i am most happy, as i was able to get a relic serge modular synthesizer (the white one living in b305 that many have dismissed as non-functional) to work for most of the source material. lots of great fm patches were made and many tracks recorded. there is a great contribution from my old access virus a that i no longer own, as i recorded many of the tracks with that as well. i spent a lot of time working on the 3-dimensional aspects of this piece and am glad to have had an opportunity to work with such great equipment.
